Mark S. Mandula, Managing Partner of United Capital Funding Corp recently spoke as an invited speaker and served as Chairperson at the “3rd Annual SME Banking & Financing: A Step Forward International Conference,” held at the Prince Hotel and Residence, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, October 15/16th, 2008.

“In these times of unprecedented global credit turmoil, we believe it is very important to make available to financial firms like ours globally some of the marketing tools we have found successful in the United States when providing working capital to SME [Small and Medium Sized Enterprises],” commented Mandula. “As the only speaker invited from the United States at the conference, my presentation was a unique opportunity to educate other financial CEO’s from firms based in Asia, Africa, Australia, and Europe about the current environment for SME funding in the United States, and how to profitably market their funding services in a very quickly changing environment.”

As conference organizers Marcus Evans noted, “SMEs in Asia face complications in acquiring market intelligence and beneficial business information, lack of innovation, and securing capital and funding. Banks and financial institutions need to develop suitable products and services to support SMEs from all areas in order to grow in every level of its business growth cycle – from start to success.”

The global conference, organized by Marcus Evans, an international business events and information company, included CEOs, Presidents, Corporate Bankers, Relationship Bankers, Corporate Credit Risk Managers, Business Development Specialists, and Product Development experts from banks, SME funds, securitization firms, loan agencies, credit companies, investment banks, factoring firms, financial institutions, credit rating agencies, credit bureaus, and government agencies from four continents.
