Abe Brown Ministries
The mission of Abe Brown Ministries is to compassionately demonstrate the Love of Christ by helping offenders, ex-offenders and their families to achieve productive and fulfilling lives. They also help them develop spiritual disciplines, learn life skills and prepare for gainful employment, which gives hope for sustaining their personal, family and financial futures. The end result is productive citizens in our communities, improving the quality of life for all.
American Heart Association
The mission of the American Heart Association is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That single purpose drives all we do. The need for our work is beyond question.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world, through five key service areas: Disaster relief, supporting America’s military families, lifesaving blood drives, international services, and health and safety services like CPR, first aid and lifeguard training.
Amigos de las Américas
The Vision of AMIGOS is "A world where each young person becomes a life-long catalyst for social change." AMIGOS works towards this vision by inspiring and building young leaders through collaborative community development and immersion in cross-cultural experiences.
Since 1972, AMIkids Pinellas has been dedicated to helping kids discover the potential within them, transform their lives and strengthen our community. Located in St. Pete Beach, Florida, AMIkids Pinellas empowers our kids through care and guidance to reach that potential and, as a result, breaks the cycle of failure and poverty.
Angels Against Abuse
The mission of the Angels is to build awareness and educate the community with regard to existing and/or potential neglect and abuse against children. To provide support, monetarily and through hands on volunteer hours to neglected and abused children who are removed from an abusive situation or are in danger of removal.
Benedict Haven Inc., founded in 1998, provides a permanent supervised home with compassionate care for adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness. Benedict Haven is a private non-profit residential treatment facility dedicated to providing the highest quality long-term care. By following a small “home-like” model, Benedict Haven has ended the “revolving door” cycle previously experienced by its residents.

Central Association of the Miraculous Medal
The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal has four purposes: To render honor to Mary Immaculate and to encourage the use of her Miraculous Medal with prayers and devotions to her, under the title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. To support the education and formation of men for the priesthood and brotherhood in the Congregation of the Mission. To support the aged and infirm Vincentians of the Eastern Province of the Congregation, the parent body of The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal. To support the apostolic works of the Eastern Province on behalf of the poor. The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal fulfills its four purposes through the generosity of its promoters and members.
The Chihuly Collection, presented by the Morean Arts Center, is located at 400 Beach Drive in downtown St. Petersburg. The Chihuly Collection is a permanent collection of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly’s unique artwork in a 10,000-square-foot setting designed by award-winning architect Albert Alfonso. Children's Dream Fund
The Children’s Dream Fund was founded in 1981 with the single purpose of fulfilling dreams for children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
Clothes to Kids
United Capital Funding has provided donations and support to Clothes to Kids, Inc. located in Clearwater, Florida. The mission of Clothes to Kids is to provide new and quality used clothing to low income, school age children in Pinellas County, Florida free of charge. Clothes to Kids envisions a community in which every school age child has quality clothing so that he or she may attend school with confidence and self esteem needed to achieve academic success. Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA)
United Capital is a proud supporter of CASA, or Community Action Stops Abuse. CASA’s vision is a community without violence so that home is a safe place. CASA’s mission is to raise our voices against violence through advocacy, empowerment, and social change. CASA was named “Nonprofit of the Year” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2008. The award honors and recognizes a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Bay area which is making an impact in the community.

Community Service Foundation
United Capital Funding has been a financial supporter of the Community Service Foundation, located in Pinellas County, Florida. The Community Service Foundation has been working since 1957 to provide families and individuals located in the Tampa Bay area an opportunity for a better life and experience through home ownership. Because of the relationships the Community Service Foundation has developed with the local business community, they are able to provide education and assistance to those in need.

United Capital Funding is a Corporate Sponsor of the foundation established by former Tampa Bay Buccaneer football player, Derrick Brooks. Brooks was an eleven-time Pro Bowl selection he earned a Super Bowl ring with the Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII. Brooks is well known for his charity work and his advocacy of the importance of education. He was the co-recipient of the 2000 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award and was named to the Florida State University Board of Trustees in 2003 by Governor Jeb Bush. Brooks is now a football analyst for ESPN. The mission of Derrick Brooks Charities, Inc., is to provide educational opportunities for socio-economically challenged youth that will instill, inspire, broaden, and develop cultural and social vision outside of the walls in which they live to ensure that these young people have a chance to develop into the strong and productive leaders of tomorrow. DMG School Project
The DMG School Project provides educational opportunities to both artists and community while contributing to the development of glass as a creative medium in both St. Petersburg and the international glass community. The DMG School Project will involve the public in all aspects of glass through master classes, demonstrations, and lectures.
Ducks Unlimited is the world’s leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation. DU got its start in 1937 during the Dust Bowl when North America’s drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows. Determined not to sit idly by as the continent’s waterfowl dwindled beyond recovery, a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became known as Ducks Unlimited. Its mission: habitat conservation.
The mission of Eckerd College is to provide excellent, innovative undergraduate liberal arts education and lifelong learning programs in the unique Florida environment, within the context of a covenant relationship with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Heroes of the St. Pete Police
United Capital Funding is proud to support the Heroes of the St. Pete Police in their efforts to honor fallen St. Petersburg police officers. The mission of the Heroes of St. Pete Police, Inc. is to honor the heroes who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to provide financial support to assist officers and their families during a crisis or tragedy. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Leukemia Cup Regatta
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Leukemia Cup RegattaSM is a thrilling series of sailing events that combines the joy of boating with the important task of raising money to cure cancer. Since its inception, the Leukemia Cup Regatta has raised millions of dollars for lifesaving research and patient services, bringing help and hope to patients and their families.
At events held at yacht clubs across North America, skippers register their boats and recruit friends and colleagues to help crew and to raise funds. Crew members seek donations from friends, family, co-workers and employers to sponsor their boat. National and local event sponsors also support the Leukemia Cup Regatta.
The Links Foundation
The Links Foundation, Incorporated is the philanthropic arm of The Links, Incorporated, an organization of professional women of color located throughout the United States, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. The Foundation was established in 1979 to enhance and expand the philanthropic endeavors of The Links, Incorporated. The Links, Incorporated has a long tradition of promoting and engaging in educational, civic and inter-cultural activities in order to enrich the lives of members of the communities we serve.
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities. As the Foundation continues to mature, its mission will remain steadfast. Wish children of the past, present and future will have an opportunity to share the power of a wish®.
Mason Dixon’s Christmas Wish Fund
Mason has worked his Christmas Wish Magic for over 15 years. In 2002, Mason Dixon Christmas Wish Fund, Inc. became a Florida non-profit corporation, and a designated 501c (3) charity. His charity is completely volunteer based. There are no salaries paid and no professional fundraisers are hired. Well over 90% of the money that is contributed goes right back out to the families in need.
Metropolitan Ministries faithfully reaches out to poor, hungry and homeless men, women and children in their time of need — providing life-changing answers.
Within our care, people find food, clothing, shelter, and other vital services. But more importantly they find compassion and hope – hope for a brighter day and future. The need in our community continues to grow, as it has since the Ministries began in 1972, and the Ministries’ commitment continues to grow as well.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD)
Founded by a mother who lost her daughter in a crash, Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit organization working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. Their programs ensure that MADD achieves its lifesaving mission.
Morean Arts Center
We are also proud to support the Morean Arts Center also located in our home town of Saint Petersburg, Florida. The Morean Art Center, with roots dating back to 1917 as the Art Club of Saint Petersburg focuses on an innovative, community oriented approach to art and art education. Their classes and outreach programs are designed to bring out the artist in all of u s. They offer adult programs, kids programs, family programs, early childhood programs, and summer camp programs, attracting beginners and advanced students alike. Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is an American organization which combats muscular dystrophy and diseases of the nervous system and muscular system in general by funding research, providing medical and community services, and educating health professionals and the general public.
The Museum of Fine Arts
United Capital supports the mission of The Museum of Fine Arts, located in downtown Saint Petersburg, Florida. The Museum has the only comprehensive art collection, extending from antiquity to the present, on the Florida west coast. The Museum opened in 1965, and recently completed a $21 million expansion that more than doubled the size of the museum. Northeast Little League
Our league is about service, player development and family. What is more wholesome than Little League Baseball and Softball? Our cause is to have a part in creating quality young men and women while developing great game skills.
A non-profit organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities to exercise their independence and experience life to the fullest.
By creating and sharing, PARC is proud to provide over 40 services to over 800 children and adults with developmental disabilities. Through these miraculous stories, PARC supporters are able to understand the vision, mission and values that have been instilled throughout PARC’s history.
Police Athletic League
United Capital has been a long time financial supporter of the Police Athletic League of Saint Petersburg, Florida. PAL’s mission is crime prevention through education, recreation and athletics.
PAL was founded in 1960, and it offers young people opportunities to enrich their self esteem and team building skills in a structured, nonthreatening environment. Relay For Life
St. Petersburg, Florida: Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries take part in this global phenomenon and raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer. During a Relay event, participants and survivors celebrate what they’ve overcome during the Survivors Lap. During the Luminaria Ceremony, we remember people lost to cancer, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer. The Fight Back Ceremony inspires Relay participants to take tangible action against a disease that has taken too much.
Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Tampa Bay
United Capital Funding has financially supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Tampa Bay. The Ronald Mc Donald House provides comfort and care to children and their families and it is able to make grants to other local not-for-profit organizations that help children in need. The Ronald McDonald House® of Tampa Bay provides a home-away-from-home for families of pediatric patients in area hospitals. The Tampa Bay Ronald McDonald House recently was named the Tampa Bay Business Journal Nonprofit of the Year.
Roseaire Retreat encourages individuals to recognize and foster the unique contribution they make to society when they integrate their faith with their daily work, their family, friendships and social relationships. We offer spiritual retreats, workshops, summer camps and professional workshops to middle school, high school, and college students, as well as young professionals and men and women from all over the country.
Sacred Heart Catholic School
The Sacred Heart Home & School Association is comprised of volunteer school parents who contribute their time, talent and treasures to reach our yearly fundraising goals in support of the education of our children at Sacred Heart Interparochial School.
Our purpose is to facilitate good communication between parents and the school, to foster a positive atmosphere for our school community, and to devise and facilitate projects to help financially support our children’s activities and our school.
Salvador Dali Museum
As a Corporate Partner, we are proud to support the Salvador Dali Museum in our home town of Saint Petersburg, Florida. The Salvador Dalí Museum houses the largest collection outside Europe of the works of the artist Salvador Dalí and is located on the campus of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in downtown St. Petersburg. Side Effects Inc. Their mission is to develop and nourish relationships within communities while making a difference, serving Christ and positively affecting people’s lives. Society of St. Vincent de Paul
United Capital has been a long time supporter of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The Society offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. An essential precept of the Society’s work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served. The Society recognizes that it must assume, also, a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless. Some 12 million persons are helped annually by Vincentians in the United States. St. Raphael’s Catholic Church
For more than forty years, St. Raphael’s Catholic Church has been a living witness to the active presence of Christ in our lives. The church is a place of refuge and strength to more than 1,600 families. As a community, we are led by love, service and obedience to our Heavenly Father. As a family, we celebrate Mass and rites of spiritual and earthly passage and gain nourishment to live out our obligation and commitment to build up the Body of Christ. It is this spirit of family, along with the care of our pastor, Monsignor Caverly and his staff, that leads us to ever brighter horizons in the new millennium.
United Capital Funding has provided financial support to the Suncoast Hospice, located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The Hospice was born out of the vision of an exceptional group of people who realized the value of hospice care and wanted it for their families and neighbors. In 1977 they created a small, all-volunteer organization. Suncoast Hospice is the nation’s largest not-for-profit, community-based provider of hospice and palliative care. The Hospice provides care for tens of thousands of people annually, and leads innovative service delivery, social change advocacy, technology development and other end-of-life initiatives. Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Suncoast Chapter. The Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. The Komen Florida Suncoast Affiliate’s services area covers all of Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota Counties.
Tampa Bay Lightning
The Tampa Bay Lightning, based in Tampa Bay, is an official team of the National Hockey League. Members of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL, home games are played at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. Go Bolts!
Tampa Bay Rays
The Tampa Bay Rays are a Major League Baseball (MLB) team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. They are currently a member of the American League East Division. Tropicana Field is their home venue.
Tampa Bay Research Institute, Inc.
United Capital is a long time financial supporter of the Tampa Bay Research Institute, Inc., or TRBI. TRBI is a 501(c)(3) biomedical research organization located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. TBRI was established in 1981 as the first not-for-profit biomedical research organization of its kind in Florida, and scientists at TBRI pioneered the discovery of the relationship between virus infections and cancer. Over a dozen patents have been issued to TBRI for its discoveries related to the immune system and TBRI is researching ways to enhance the effectiveness of vaccines. More than 70 doctoral and post-doctoral scientists have been trained at TBRI and TBRI was awarded the first HIV/AIDS study grant in Florida. Scientists at TBRI have published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed research publications and have also hosted numerous international scientific symposia to date. United Capital Funding has been actively involved as a financial partner and Tampa Bay Watch, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit stewardship program dedicated exclusively to the protection and restoration of the marine and wetland environments of the Tampa Bay estuary through scientific and educational programs. VisionIt City Impact Foundation
VisionIT was born from community activities. Prior to the start of VisionIT, David H. Segura began to volunteer his time on a weekly basis, teaching youth in Detroit about the field of technology and the growing trends of the Internet. This drive of being active in the community has continued and as VisionIT has grown, so has the impact we have been able to make within the communities where we live and work. VisionIT is fully committed to young men and women from diverse communities to assist them in choosing and building their careers in the field of Information Technology. Vision Trinity Life Center
United Capital has provided financial support to Wilderness Trail, a 501 (C)(3) North Carolina nonprofit tax exempt organization that uses backpacking as a tool for discipleship. Wilderness Trail has week long summer events for youth between June and August each year, and during May, September and October it offers weekend experiences geared towards families.
